Alfred Habdank Skarbek Korzybsk, a pioneer in the field of Neurolinguistic Programming, was a Polish-American scientist who believed that NLP is an integration of neurology, psychology, linguistics, cybernetics, and systems theory. The component of the term Neurolinguistic Programming describes what this obscure and complex science encompasses. NEURO: all of our experiences, both conscious and subconscious, are derived through and from our senses and central nervous system. LINGUISTIC: our mental processes are given meaning, coded, organized, and, then transformed through language. PROGRAMMING: people interact as a system in which experience and communication are composed of sequences of patterns or “programs.” His work gave birth to the Neurolinguistic Programming or as we like to call it, NLP.
